ROOF REPLACEMENTS

Dealing with storm or hail damage?

If your roof was damaged in a recent storm, we can help you navigate the insurance claims process.

The Process

What to Expect, Start to Finish.

A roof replacement is a significant project. Here’s how we handle it — so you always know what’s coming next.

01

Free Inspection

We start with a thorough, no-obligation inspection of your roof, attic, and gutters. We’ll identify damage, assess the overall condition, and give you an honest assessment.

04

Installation

Our crew removes the existing roof, inspects and repairs the decking as needed, and installs your new shingles with manufacturer specifications met on every detail.

02

Proposal & Material Selection

You’ll receive a clear, detailed proposal with material options, pricing, and timeline. We walk you through it and answer every question before you sign anything. If insurance is involved, we help you understand the claim process.

05

Cleanup & Inspection

We clean up the jobsite completely — including magnetic sweeps for nails — and do a final walkthrough with you before we consider the job done.

03

Scheduling

Once you approve the proposal, we coordinate scheduling around your availability. We’ll confirm the materials and start date in writing.

06

Warranty & Follow-Up

Your new roof comes backed by the manufacturer’s material warranty and our workmanship warranty. We’re easy to reach if anything comes up after the job.

Materials

Premium Shingles. Your Choice.

We install premium asphalt shingles from industry-leading manufacturers. Every product we offer comes with a range of color options, profile styles, and impact ratings — so your new roof performs exactly as intended and looks the way you want it to. We will walk you through the options and make a recommendation based on your home, your goals, and what makes sense for Houston’s climate.

Color & Curb Appeal

Our shingle lines come in a wide range of colors — from warm earth tones and classic grays to deeper charcoals and rich browns. We can help you find a color that complements your home’s exterior and holds up to Houston’s sun and heat over time.

Profile & Style

Shingle profiles vary from the clean, dimensional look of architectural shingles to more textured or designer profiles that replicate the appearance of wood shake or slate. Each style has its own aesthetic — we’ll show you samples so you can see the difference in person.

Impact Rating

Not all shingles handle hail and storm damage the same way. Impact resistance is rated on a scale from Class 1 to Class 4. For Houston homeowners, the rating you choose affects both your roof’s performance in severe weather and potentially your homeowners insurance premium.

Warranty Coverage

Premium shingle lines carry strong manufacturer warranties on the material itself. The specific terms vary by product and will be included in your proposal. Our workmanship warranty covers the installation separately.

Your Protection

Backed by Two Warranties.

Every Roofing Brigade replacement comes with two layers of coverage — so you’re protected on the materials and the installation.

Manufacturer’s Warranty

Your shingles are covered by the manufacturer’s standard material warranty, protecting against defects in the product itself. Warranty terms vary by product and will be specified in your proposal.

Roofing Brigade Workmanship Warranty

We stand behind our installation. If a workmanship issue arises after the job is complete, we’ll make it right. Warranty terms will be specified in your proposal.

Impact Ratings

Not All Shingles Are Built the Same.

Asphalt shingles are independently tested for impact resistance and assigned a class rating from 1 to 4. Here’s what each class means in plain language.

Class 1

Meets the minimum impact resistance standard. Handles light impact, but is not built for significant hail or high-wind debris.

Class 2

Improved impact resistance over Class 1, and handles moderate impact conditions. A step up from standard.

Class 3

Strong impact resistance, designed to withstand significant hail and wind-driven debris. Comes in a wide range of colors and styles.

Class 4

The highest impact resistance rating available. Engineered to hold up against the largest hail and the most severe weather. Qualifies for insurance discounts with many carriers. Verify eligibility with your insurance carrier.

We install every impact rating. For most Houston homes, we’ll point you toward Class 3 or Class 4 — the hail and hurricanes here earn it, and many carriers offer a premium discount on Class 4 — but the right answer depends on your home, your budget, and your policy. We’ll walk you through it and give you a straight recommendation. Confirm discount eligibility directly with your insurance carrier.

Is It Time?

Signs Your Roof Needs to Be Replaced.

Not sure if you need a repair or a full replacement? These are the signs Houston homeowners see most often — and the first things we look for during an inspection.

Age

Most asphalt shingle roofs in Houston last 15 to 25 years. If yours is approaching or past that range, a replacement is often more cost-effective than continued repairs.

Granule Loss

If you’re finding shingle granules in your gutters or downspouts, the protective coating is breaking down — a sign the roof is nearing the end of its life.

Cracked or Missing Shingles

A few damaged shingles may be repairable, but widespread cracking, chipping, or curling usually signals failure across the whole roof.

Storm Damage

Hail, high winds, and severe Houston storms cause damage that isn’t always visible from the ground — ridge caps and flashing often go first. An inspection confirms whether a repair or a replacement is the right call.

Water stains on your ceilings, leaks in more than one spot, or a visible sag in the roofline are worth an immediate look too. Not sure what you’re dealing with? We’ll take a look — at no charge.
